the story is disjointed and illogical, i spent a lot of the film trying to figure out what was happening. moreover, there are a lot of points that negate the original trilogy which is disrespectful as best.
it just feels like a lazy, unimaginative, corporate mess with a plot that was thrown together by a committee consisting of a few people that had never heard of star wars before sat around a pub table one lunchtime.
Say what you like about the original trilogy and even the prequels, they shared a common theme of telling a story. ROS doesn't even bother with trying to tell a story. It's a collection of adverts for lego sets.
Whilst Disney's TV offerings, the Mandalorian and the clone wars are first class, this fall way short.
The difference between the tv shows and the movies is the tv shows are made by fans who love and respect star wars and the movies. Aren't.
